Short Line quilt finish

I finally finished hand-sewing the binding on this scrap quilt. All four of us in my quilt group made one of these by sharing our scraps around to get it done. I made a smaller one than the others so mine is more baby size while theirs are throw size. It’s a rail fence variation so the pattern author decided it needed a railroad name and used one of the Monopoly railroads. A rather convoluted title, but there you are. The pattern is Short Line by Miss Rosie’s Quilt Co., published 2010. We saw a sample made at a local quilt shop last year and decided we all needed our own version. The most fun part is that it contains fabric from all of us. It has a “piano keys” border and I used leftover binding pieces for a scrappy binding.  [Read more…] about Short Line quilt finish

Riedel Fascination Challenge sign-ups

This was my fourth year to join in the fun of Gentle Spectrums, both A & B. The A choice is Limitless Palette which includes book titles with colours or colour associations. Celtic Coasts 2017 wrap-up
