2014-12-01 16.06.25Today was Decorating Day for Festival of Trees so the Carey family decorated our 15th consecutive tree in honor of Scott’s brother, Paul. He was an Air Force pilot killed in 1995 in Alabama, leaving a wife and three young children.

2014-12-01 15.49.21This year’s tree is called “Flyin’ High” and is located at the east end of Row C. It has a Snoopy, the Flying Ace, theme with a doghouse built by Scott’s father and Peanuts characters all around. We also made felt ornaments and paper ornaments for the tree, plus there’s a large red airplane in the tree.2014-12-01 15.50.52 2014-12-01 15.50.57By the side of the doghouse is a real Charlie Brown tree looking sad with Linus’s blanket wrapped around the base.2014-12-01 15.50.16

The decorators are Karen Carey, Christine Fazulyanov, Janice Carey, and Renae Tibbitts standing, and me, Patrice Carey, and Michelle Rapp kneeling.
