2015 Newbery Reading Challenge

Newbery Reading Challenge 2015

I completed my challenge goal of the L’Engle level: 15-29 points by getting 17 points. Thanks to Julie of Smiling Shelves for hosting this challenge. Although I only read one winner for my perpetual challenge, a trip to Laura country this year inspired me to take up some of her books and fall in love with that series all over again. The others that I read were very good, so it was a good Newbery year for me.

Rules: Each book you read is worth points. You get:
3 points for a Newbery Medal Winner
2 points for a Newbery Honor Book
1 point for a Caldecott Medal Winner

2-On the Banks of Plum Creek, Laura Ingalls Wilder
2-By the Shores of Silver Lake, Laura Ingalls Wilder
2-Little Town on the Prairie, Laura Ingalls Wilder
2-These Happy Golden Years, Laura Ingalls Wilder
2-Hitler Youth: Growing Up in Hitler’s Shadow, Susan Campbell Bartoletti
2-Graven Images by Paul Fleischman
3-Carry On, Mr. Bowditch, Jean Lee Latham
2-The Underneath, Kathi Appelt
