I’ve decided to do the SAL from Riley Blake called From Our House. It’s meant to highlight their new HushHush4 collection, but since I got a HushHush3 FQ bundle for my birthday in July, mine will be using those fabrics. In preparation, I started cutting the logs for the cabins, getting the darks cut from my stash.

Then I got the LV pieces cut & added to the numbered piles, one for each block. So satisfying to see all the organization! Each Friday beginning this week, they are having designers give alternate blocks for cabin centers.

And here is block #1.

Because we have to do various tasks in order to make pretty things, I cut & fused lots of wool pieces to 12 ornaments for hand stitching, plus made & sewed on 3 bindings to quilts now ready for hand-binding, & prepped some orange peels for a new hand applique quilt.

That is a neat variation on a log cabin block! I bet it will make a beautiful quilt!
