I made some aqua progress during this busy week! The three small blocks are the last of the Moda Blockheads. I have what I need for the layout I want to do! So that’s ready for fall assembly.
The large star is from Angela’s 2015 tab at the top of the blog & has the Kick block in the center. Next month I need to get them out & decide on connecting chain blocks. (And see if I have enough stars with the 8 colors I have.)

I got half-way through the pile of Scrap Stash Plus blocks, so look for the rest next week. The colors on both photos are dark. My colors are a bit brighter.
I also sewed bindings on two quilts, so they are ready for evening hand-sewing, as I’m almost done with the current binding project. Five Ocean Waves blocks got done for L&E’s this week, so pretty soon I’ll have enough to finish off row 3. Jenny Doan of MSQC fame says, “Quilts happen one stitch at a time”, so I keep looking at that quote on my wall & remembering the joy is in the journey.
Happy sewing!
That is a great quote from Jenny – quilting is not a race, is it?! Your aqua blocks are so pretty. I love that big star – are you making a whole of those?
Yes. I’ve made one a month, so now it’s about time to figure out the layout.
I went over to the tab on Angela’s blog – that’s a beautiful quilt! I might have to put that one on my list!
I’ve wanted to make one since she posted it 10 years ago. Back when I was just a lurker in the RSC universe. Now it’s coming to pass!!
