Brian

Brian is almost 19 and a freshman at Brigham Young University. He has a busy schedule of music, dance, and theater classes and is in the Men’s Chorus. He’s working hard on getting accepted as a Music, Dance, Theater major. Brian received his mission call in October and will be leaving on January 6th to serve as a missionary in the California Carlsbad Mission, where, like Mark, he will teach people in Spanish. He’ll enter the Missionary Training Center first to study Spanish and then head to California in March. He’s very excited and is glad he is going to a place with great weather.
Brian graduated from Lone Peak HS in May in the top 10% of his class, got to sing the National Anthem for graduation, and was a State Finalist for Speech and Drama in Utah’s Sterling Scholar program. He received a tuition scholarship to attend BYU. Brian also appeared as Hannibal in “The Curious Savage” and as Charlie Dalrymple in “Brigadoon”. In the midst of all that he had to have yet another ear surgery (hopefully the last one). Brian got to visit New York City again with the Lone Peak Chamber Choir and got to see several Broadway shows. He continues to play piano and sing for weddings and other special events (including at the Zermatt on Thanksgiving Day) and also worked as first aid director at Maple Dell Scout Camp this summer.
