RSC2026 November & strings

RSC26 Button

I’m recovering from thumb surgery in September. I was unable to sew for awhile, but then I found that I could sew string blocks. I was able to lay a string on the paper, then trim the string with scissors instead of the rotary cutter as usual. I made blocks for Bonnie Hunter’s Stargazer, which is made up entirely of string blocks. There are blues, low volumes, & half/half. So I made hundreds of blocks & this week I finished. I can’t trim them yet, but they are all made. It felt good to be able to sew something. Did I make a dent in my scraps? Yes to the blues, but not to the LV’s. I have two bins of those.
