RSC2026-pastels in June

I began the week thinking, “What shall I sew this week?” I wondered if I could scrounge enough pastel charms to make a 99 Charms, inspired by Nancy. I pulled a bunch, cut a few from yardage & voila! another donation top in the box for Many Hands and Many Hearts.

I made a patriotic table banner that got put out for Memorial Day & is staying up with RWB decorations until after July 4th. But then I thought I needed a summer one on the side table where I have summer decorations. So I bought another stand & made this Sand & Sea banner this week. Now I have to make a bunch more so I can keep both stands full all year! LOL

These are in the second colorway for the charity block drive for Many Hands and Many Hearts. You can find the instructions here. My bin of 2.5″x4.5″ bricks made 6 red & green blocks. Next week I will make the last color duo for L&E’s.

And finally, I started webbing the blocks for last year’s ScrapStash Plus. It leans toward pastels, and it will be good to get it done.

How are your pastels coming along?

HI Sue! I love your 99 Charms little quilt top! If I didn’t have so many irons in the fire (we all do that, right?), I’d probably start one. Your MHMH potatoes chip contrasting blocks are awesome too. I’ve got to try that with some of my chips. You always have so many cute things (Sand and Sea) to show. I’m sure you’ll have no trouble keeping both of your stands full of cute things!

Love your 99 Charms top in the pastels! That was a great idea! Cute banner, too. Good luck getting the plus quilt done that will be a great finish!

Thank you! I’m having fun with these, although it’s tough to get those tiny pieces all clean & accurate!
