Cynthia at Many Hands and Many Hearts announced the new block drive for Sept-Nov. If you want to play along, the instructions can be found here. Since my purples were out, I made 14 in that color. I sewed a long strip of 2″ purples & cut it to size, used my Stripology ruler to cut the low-volume backgrounds, & the whole thing was quick & slick. I’ll make more colors when I can sew again, hopefully in October. I’ll also get back to that Moda Blockheads WIP with all the flying geese that currently resides on my design wall.

I made the three purple Nine Patches for September’s color & had all the colors done, plus all the snowballs which I made during previous months. I decided to just start putting it together & got it half done! Thanks again to Nancy @GraceandPeaceQuilting for her inspiration here.
My August goals:
0 WIP-(but I have 14 done which was over the 12 I was hoping to accomplish this year)
6 Starlets
3 Nine Patch/Snowballs
7 Houses for My Town

I admire your supply of low volume prints. It makes everything sparkle.
Awesome blocks!!
Love your nine patches and snow balls. Wasn’t Nancy’s quilt awesome?
Thanks for remind me to check out Cynthia’s new bock. I want to participate again.
I like those blocks for Cynthia’s block drive, and planning to make some, too. Your 9 patches and snowballs are looking great together, too. Happy sewing!
Thank you! I love LV prints for scrappy backgrounds, so you wouldn’t believe what my stash of those looks like!!
These are a great L&E block to do as you’re working your own projects.
Thanks. I have 2 weeks before surgery & we just got back from a few days away, so I’m planning what I can/should I get done before I can’t sew for a while. The list is long & needs paring! LOL
You’ve stitched some lovely blocks. Sending you good wishes for a good recovery.
