RSC2026-Sept week 3

RSC26 Button

This is my second fall table banner, made start to finish this week along with other sewing. I just love these sitting around.

Here is my WIP for the month: RSC2025’s Moda Blockheads. I made all the blocks last year during our color month, then over the last few weeks I made all the flying geese & did the sashings. I’m so happy with this scrappy rainbow quilt!

Over FaceTime this week, my quilt group finished our RBD 2025 Block Challenge quilt. I bought this batik kit last year for 50% off & when we were discussing a new project, I showed them the kit & pattern. They liked it so much that they agreed & ordered kits in the cotton solids for each of them. Then we worked away each week until we were done. My checkerboard center is much lighter than theirs, but my batiks have a texture that is fun. You can find the free patterns from Riley Blake here.

I finished the binding last night on Rocky Road, my WIP finish for January. It’s a Bonnie Hunter pattern with FPP blocks. I’ve been working hard on my hexies this year in the evenings, so not many quilts have gotten the binding sewed down to get them to the fnish line.

Congratulations on your latest quilt finish, Sue! It, along with the two completed quilt tops are quite lovely. The Flying Geese border on your Blockheads quilt really makes that project!
